The Music & the Show "Alabama Soul"

Music has always saved me….singing it has always lifted my spirit, and writing it has given me a way of expression that I can't fully explain. I grew up singing in church, acting in countless musicals and local events. That led to college and then to Nashville.

As a singer I've lived between crooner and southern soul my entire career. I started as a demo singer for other songwriters trying to pitch their songs to artist with record label support while working as a songwriter myself. It served as a way to develop and grow. As a writer I've had an opportunity to chart my on path with different styles of music and a chance to work with many talented musicians. I've also written a few jingles....my favorite goes without saying....and I left it here for you in the tracks.

Even during the years of hosting our television show, I continued to write, record and perform different styles of music. It led me to this point in my journey.

The album "Alabama Soul" is more than a song and title. It's a live show experience where the sounds of gospel, country, rhythm and blues, forge together to create the southern soul crooner sound I've always shared as a performer. There's only one place in my life that has influenced me so much and that's Muscle Shoals, Alabama. My home state provided that soulful unique sound, and it still does today. This sound has been taken to Nashville, L.A, New York, Memphis, Atlanta, and all over the world. Its undeniable.

In 2020 I began writing with my friend Mark Narmore ( singer/songwriter) in muscle shoals. We're already planning "Alabama Soul II" but for now, you can find our first releases on the streaming platform of your liking. What you can expect at our shows is hearing many of those muscle shoals hits, followed by our versions and journey of both songs of the past and our originals that make up what we call, “Alabama Soul”. I along with Mark Narmore, and Rachel Robinson look forward to seeing you at our show! As mama said, “It ain’t good, till it’s got some Soul in it” ….
